This reminds me... I really wish that Sony never released The Interview. Imagine how much historical value those posters would have. I'm completely serious; this whole thing would earn itself at least a third of a page in the textbooks.

Nah, give it a few months (or after the impending lawsuits get settled) and people will almost completely forget about it.

I mean even Gamergate has stopped reeling in headlines and it was one of the most Internet Searched things of 2014 (not even mentioning the real threats from Gamergate).

Oh society...

Gamergate was never a big deal. The Interview, though.. that was a big international fiasco. Sure, it's just a movie, but that's kind of why it's so huge. It's just a movie . Major overreaction on North Korea's part, and if we actually let them win , that would have been huge.

As fascinating as such a hypothetical scenario might be; I'm glad the movie was eventually released.

Such is true, though I was just using the first example that came to my mind. MH370 is another (probably bad) example. CNN ran their theories into the ground until they had to start making stuff up (including aliens).

And I agree. The Interview (coupled to the ongoing Sony hacks) is a HUGE deal. But sadly, I think that once the dust settles, it'll be just as easily forgotten. Modern society in the world seems to have a very short attention span. :(

I think it's a good thing they released the movie. Leaving it cancelled would paint Sony as even more of cowards than they already are. So if anything, wouldn't said posters be worth more in the future? One could spin it as "Sony stood up to threats and released the movie anyway".

I disagree that Gamergate wasn't a big deal. Nowhere near the level of interest generated by The Interview, sure, but any time you have two sovereign states and a bunch of strongly worded accusations/claims people are going to want to see what's up.

Perhaps sadly, neither of those things generated as much attention as the Ray Rice fiasco.

I think that is the PRNK "WORLD OF TOMORROW" exhibit.

"Say that again? It's called a tell a Phong? What if I want to call Uncle Kim? Screw it, execute Everyone who isn't named Phong. This thing will catch on like flied lice, you plick!"
